Working in a frame shop gives me access to a few things... Discounted frames, and lots of scrap Mat-board. Occasionally you get some scrap with unusual textures, metallic finishes, suedes, etc.
Take some free time, some razor blades, some extra strength ATG, a sister to do half the work, and a love of all things steampunk, and voila!
